Made
Brief: Create a project which speculates towards new possibilities and opens up fresh ways of thinking about a subject. Make something which could be a catalyst for seeing or doing things differently; this might involve a tiny change or a monumental change.
Response: A project speculating how championing process could highlight value, and caveat consumerist culture.
What if every object and item had to tell it’s story?
Made is a speculative, stripped back brand, where every product tells a truthful story of it’s origins. It encourages consumers to be informed on the products they are buying. Letter-pressed typography links with visuals of process, and a suite of symbols visually showcases the length of the product’s journey. Tracing paper links to ideas of reveal and exposure.
An eleven metre long receipt highlights the ‘real cost’ of the items, showcasing their stories, symbols and prices, creating an impactful large-scale spectacle.
